Custom applications of Earthsoils liquid fertilizers is our specialty. What is a custom application? It is bringing the right product at the right time, and applying it on your lawn for the maxium results. If you have a weed problem, we guarantee results with the Earthsoils non-toxic fertilizers plus broadleaf herbicides Speed Zone and Trimec 992. Other companies use the cheapest products they can find, and you get what you pay for usually. At Aesthetic Appeal, we pay more for the herbicides that get faster and better results so you are happier with how your lawn looks, without calling back for a re-treatment!
Full-Service Package
Our Full-Service package includes 5 applications of fertilizers and weed control options.
1. Dimension Crabgrass and Pre-emergent Weed Control plus fertilizer. This is usually applied starting in Mid-April.
2. Earthsoils N-Cal non-toxic fertilizer with available Speed Zone and Trimec 992 Broadleaf herbicides for dandelions, thistles, creeping charlie, and other annoying early-season weeds. This application starts in late April and continues into early June.
3. Earthsoils Micro-N plus trace minerals. Keeps your lawn rich, green, and thick into the summer months. We try our best to have this round completed by the Fourth of July, so you can hear everyone bragging about how great your lawn looks at the holiday bar-ba-que!
4. Earthsoils Micro-N plus trace minerals for a late summer blast of Nitrogen and minerals to keep the glow going through the dog days of summer.
5. Earthsoils Soil Renew jump-starts your lawn's root systems with a hefty 7% dose of pure-Calcium. This is our richest product, to get your lawn ready for the long Minnesota Winter!This application can be applied anytime between August and October. Depending on your lawn's needs and your personal preference.
Root-Builder Program
If you want to go with our Intensive Root-Builder Program, then we add the following services to the above list:
6. Core Aeration. Often mispronounced as "Aereation" this is the process of taking 2-4" plugs out of your lawn so your roots can breathe, and reduce soil compaction. It is absolutely essential for a healthy lawn. We recommend it in late August through early October.
7. Over-seeding. Is your lawn kind of thin and patchy? Over-seeding after aerating your lawn is a fantastic way to spruce it up before winter, so it comes back thicker and better-looking in the spring! We use the best "sun and shade" mix we can find, and apply it at a rate of 1.5-2 pounds per 1,000 square feet for an even, full-stand of grass.
8. Earthsoils Soil Renew or Lawn Alive to give those new grass seeds all the food they need to grow fast and establish their roots before the winter season. This application always follows aerating and over-seeding as soon as possible.
9. If your lawn has more weeds than you're comfortable with, then we like to recommend a late-Fall application of Earthsoils plus Speed Zone and Trimec 992 again. That way we can prevent about 80-95% of the weeds from coming back in the following Spring. This is probably the most important time of the year to treat the weeds, and it is the one that most often gets ignored simply because people don't realize it, and they think by late September/early October, that they have already done enough for their lawn for the season. But how much they regret it the next Spring when those pesky dandelions start popping in the April sunshine!
